Series Synopsis:

• God has a Dream for your life, it’s called your Calling.
• God has a Destiny for your life, it’s called your Purpose.
• When you become a God chaser, God will connect your Calling to your Purpose.

Now Joseph had been taken down to Egypt. And Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh, captain of the guard, an Egyptian, bought him from the Ishmaelites who had taken him down there. THE LORD WAS WITH JOSEPH, and he was a successful man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian. 3 And his master saw that THE LORD WAS WITH HIM and that the LORD MADE ALL HE DID TO PROSPER IN HIS HAND. (Genesis 39:1-3 NKJ)

• The Lord was with Him, his calling and his purpose did not change.
• The Lord was with Him, his value, his worth did not change.
• When the Lord is with you, you prosper!
• The word “Prosperity” from the Hebrew means to “Push Forward”

Scriptures to better understand prosperity:

Then Isaac sowed in that land, and reaped in the same year a hundredfold; and the Lord blessed him. 13 The man began to PROSPER, and continued PROSPERING until he became very PROSPEROUS; (Genesis 26: 12-13 NKJ)

Beloved, I pray that you may PROSPER in all things and be in health, just as your soul PROSPERS. (3 John 2 NKJ)

• God can push you forward in your health.
• God can push you forward in your soul.

A God chaser will always chase the presence of God!

• Chase means to go after. Chase means to seek.

Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always. (1 Chronicles 16:11)

• From that pit, Joseph sought for strength, and he sought the face of the Lord.

If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

• On this 15-day journey from Canaan to Egypt, Joseph has plenty of time: To seek God’s face; To ask God to heal his prideful heart.

The key to prosperity is always to chase the presence of God.

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. (Matthew 6:33)

And his master saw that THE LORD WAS WITH HIM and that the LORD MADE ALL HE DID TO PROSPER IN HIS HAND. (Genesis 39: 3)

• The presence of God was evident in the life of Joseph.
• Joseph worked in the most toxic environment, yet he prospered because the presence of the Lord was with him.

So Joseph found FAVOR in his sight, and SERVED him. Then he made him overseer of his house, and all that he had he put under his authority. So it was, from the time that he had made him overseer of his house and all that he had, that the Lord blessed the Egyptian’s house for Joseph’s sake; and the blessing of the Lord was on all that he had in the house and in the field. Thus he left all that he had in Joseph’s hand, and he did not know what he had except for the bread which he ate.

• Joseph found favor with Potiphar because the presence of the Lord was with him.

You cannot earn the favor of God. But you can certainly position yourself for it.

• You can position yourself to receive the favor of God by serving
• You can position yourself to prosper by serving.
