Finishing Strong

This scripture goes on hand with your year ! You fought all year, you’ve fought hard and you’ve finished the race you’ve kept your faith. Was it hard this year ?

Deuteronomy‬ ‭31‬:‭8‬

“It is the Lord who goes before you; He will be with you. He will not fail you or abandon you. Do not fear or be dismayed.”

Finishing strong is knowing that God will not fail you and he’s gone before you and he won’t abandon you

“Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens.”

When we set up that DAWG it’s easy to know and remember that God is our refuge and we put our hope in his word.

Staying strong and forgiving others

Maybe you need to finish strong and forgive this year.

‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭4‬:‭8‬ ‭

“Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.”

Let go and let God

How can you let go and let God if you can’t forgive. How can I let God move in my life, how I can let God forgive me, how can I let God speak to me if I can’t let go.

Let go and let God: forgiving yourself

Maybe you need to forgive yourself and let God. This is the hardest thing right ? We’re our own harshest critics.

2 Corinthians 5:17

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”

If this one is you then let these scriptures sink in real deep. Once you give it to God then it’s done, it’s gone. We’re all in Christ that means we’re a new creation the old is gone.

God used people who had to forgive themselves

• Moses – Had a speech problem and killed someone and ended up leading the Israelites out of Egypt.

• Gideon – Was afraid. Ended up becoming a well known heroic leader

• Jonah – Ran from God. Ended up saving a city from destruction

• Peter – Denied Christ three times.

• Paul – A Pharisee who persecuted Christians before becoming one.

So no matter how you feel right now, finish strong and know that God has gone before you, he’s our shield, we’re a new creation in him. Don’t take the junk of this year and bring it to you next year.
