OPENING SCRIPTURE: Moses My servant is DEAD. Now therefore, ARISE, GO over this Jordan, you and all this people, to the land which I am giving to them—the children of Israel. EVERY PLACE THAT THE SOLE OF YOUR FOOT WILL TREAD UPON I HAVE GIVEN YOU, AS I SAID TO MOSES (Joshua 1:2, 3 NKJ)
- Faith requires feet for movement.
- When God appoints you- the very first thing He challenges is your faith
1st CHALLENGE: TO LEAVE THE PAST BEHIND
- The past includes the bad, the good, the ugly
- THE BAD: Stuff in your life that can only slow you down and derail God’s plan
- THE GOOD: Successes in your life that were good but even then you can’t stay there.
- THE UGLY: Stuff that could have happened to you that were ugly but not your fault. I talking about abuse, trauma that you might have encountered in your life. God can do a whole lot with ugly.
2ND CHALLENGE: TO ARISE AND GO
- Arise- Biblical meaning: to spring up into action when god calls
- When God appoints you, He is looking for movement!
- What has god appointed you? what movement is he expecting from you?
- Arise: to become sensitive to his voice and to act a part
- When God calls you and appoints you, He is expecting you to play a part
- What has god appointed you? What part is he expecting you to play?
3RD CHALLENGE: TO PUT VISION INTO MOTION
“Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given you, as I said to Moses”
- To catch a glimpse of god’s vision, you have to allow the sole of the your foot to tread upon the place where he has given you!
